"The 2016 Mountain Peak Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from an elevation of 1,400ft atop Atlas Peak. The vineyard's thin, rugged soils are composed mostly of rock and content and result in very low yields. The fruit is aged 20 months in partially new Sylvain and Taransaud Barrels. The result is a gorgeous Cabernet that is beautifully structured. Aromas of dark cherries and cassis come together with fresh herbs, florals, graphite, and crushed stones, all developing in the glass. This elegant Cabernet is medium-bodied, well-balanced, and silky, with bright underlying acidity providing wonderful freshness through the finish. Overall, this is a refined Cabernet, that I would expect to continue to develop over the course of the next decade. Drink 2020 - 2032."
